Ford, BMW say suspend operations in Russia, car supplies
MOSCOW/WASHINGTON, Mar 2 (PRIME) -- Germany’s BMW automobile concern and U.S. car company Ford have decided to suspend their operations in Russia amid the Western sanctions, the companies said in their respective statements on Tuesday.
“Due to the current geopolitical situation, the BMW Group is suspending deliveries to the Russian market as well as local car production. Further decisions will be made based on the development of the situation,” BMW said.
“Given the current situation, we have informed our joint venture partners that we are suspending operations in Russia,” Ford said.
